Marriage Certificate:

When Attestation are not Required?
When the government of Pakistan issues any document, it does not require any type of attestation if you want to use this document within Pakistan. The government has the record of all its documents, so if the government wants to verify any document, it can verify it through its records. A document issued by Pakistan needs attestation only when it is required to be used in some other country because that other country doesn’t have the records of this document, and they cannot verify it themselves. When the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attests any document, it means that it verifies the other country and that the document is verified and can be used in your country.
When Embassy Attestation is Required?
Once a document is attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan, then it does not require any further attestation unless and until the other country has a different requirement. If the other country has an additional requirement that the document should also be attested from its own embassy or consulate in Pakistan, then we have to get it attested to fulfill the requirement of that country. The embassy attestation in Pakistan on a document is only required when the other country has this requirement; otherwise, the attestation from the MOFA office is sufficient.
When Apostille is Required:
An apostille in Pakistan is an alternative to the embassy attestations. The countries that are members of the Hague-Abraham Convention and have accepted the apostille services—then, instead of having that document attested from the embassy, you can simply get it apostilled.
